Biography

Stefan Wilson began racing karts at the age of nine and competed nationally and internationally for seven years. In 2006 he graduated to single-seater cars to challenge for the Formula Palmer Audi Autumn Trophy. He finished as top rookie and ninth overall, recording the fastest lap at Brands Hatch in only his sixth race.

In 2007 he came second in the main Formula Palmer Audi championship, with four race wins. He then beat five other challengers to win the prestigious 2007 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award.

In 2008 he raced in the National Class of British Formula 3 for Fluid Motorsport. He finished fourth in the standings, with four race wins.

In 2009 he competed in six races of the Firestone Indy Lights Series. His best race finish was fourth at Toronto and his best qualifying was third at Long Beach.

Stefan is the younger brother of former F1 driver and current IndyCar Series racer Justin Wilson.
