Biography

Stefan Wilson began racing karts at the age of nine and competed nationally and internationally for seven years. In 2006 he graduated to single-seater cars to challenge for the Formula Palmer Audi Autumn Trophy. In the six-race series he finished as top rookie and ninth overall, scoring two fifth places and recording the fastest lap at Brands Hatch in only his sixth race.

In 2007 he competed in the full Formula Palmer Audi series and finished second in the championship, with four race wins to his credit. Following that success, he beat five other challengers to be named as the winner of the prestigious 2007 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award.

For 2008 he has signed to race in British Formula 3, driving for the Fluid Motorsport Development team in the National Class.

Stefan is the younger brother of former F1 driver and current IndyCar Series racer Justin Wilson.
