On Friday 26 February, Stefan and his new team-mate Sebastián Saavedra are taking part in the official Firestone Indy Lights test at Barber Motorsports Park, Birmingham, Alabama.
Sebastián was announced as Bryan Herta Autosport's second driver on Tuesday 23 February. The 19-year-old Colombian is competing in his second season of Indy Lights after finishing third last year with AFS Racing/Andretti Green Racing. He scored wins at Kansas and Toronto, along with six other top-five finishes.
Stefan is pleased with the choice. "It's good to have Sebastián on board," he said. "He brings a lot to the team and his experience at AFS should help improve the team."
Over the winter Stefan has been training hard to get ready for the new season and is looking forward to getting back in a racing car. He's also taken up residence in Indianapolis, where Bryan Herta Autosport is based, and is getting used to living in the USA.
Barber Motorsports Park is hosting the second race on the Indy Lights calendar on Sunday 11 April. The season opener is on the streets of St Petersburg, Florida, on Sunday 28 March.
