First Formula 3 pre-season test at Pembrey

This week Stefan had his first taste of the Formula 3 car he will be racing in this year's British F3 championship. In the pre-season test at the Pembrey circuit in South Wales, he completed a total of 156 laps and finished second quickest of the seven National Class drivers taking part, 16th quickest overall.

After a three-month lay-off, Stefan was pleased to be back on a race track again and he wasted no time in getting used to his new car. "I surprised myself," he said, "because it was quite a transition from Formula Palmer Audi, but I didn't have any problem with the downforce. I was pleased with how I was taking the high-speed corners because that's the difficult stuff, so it builds your confidence if you get it right."

Stefan is back in the car for the second of the four official tests at Snetterton on 27-28 February.
